Abstract
The Nigerian National Policy of Education caters for all children including the "Excluded". The policy among other things makes provision for 2% as personnel to cater for the needs of the "Excluded" in all government establishments in the country (Nigeria). Islam on the other hand is no doubt a way of life which actually preaches welfare of all, the "excluded" inclusive. The paper therefore focuses on examining the actualisation of the policy and determine how effective the teaching of Islam can actualise the preaching towards the demarginalisation of the excluded individual in the scheme of things. The role of the Muslims in realising this objective is also considered in this paper.
