Abstract
The Valued Youth Programme is an innovatory intervention with disaffected youth in which they are challenged to demonstrate their worth in cross-age tutoring in local primary schools. The Worksop will, using ex-tutors from Birmingham (where they worked through the charity Second City Second Chance; SCSC), describe the structure and challenges in the scheme, it's evaluation and the reasons why it has now expanded from its US base to six areas of GB in three years.
