Abstract
The workshop will give participants opportunities to explore ways that teachers can differentiate all aspects of the curriculum (including: objectives, content, materials, activities, teaching/learning strategies, assessment/evaluation) to meet a wide range of students' abilities in any regular class.
Participants will experience different methods of cooperative learning and peer tutoring and will develop multi-layered lessons that accommodate a variety of ages, abilities and special needs that can be found in inclusive classes.
The workshop facilitator assisted schools in remote areas to develop inclusive programs and lessons that meet the needs of students with the most severe difficulties in regular classes. In these settings, there was no alternative segregated setting available. The facilitator will share some of the strategies with workshop participants.
