Abstract
Following the step pf Hong Kong, Macau became another Special Administrative Region of China on 20th December 1999. The dispute of right to live in Hong Kong for children born in China with parents holding Hong Kong citizenship will not reappear in Macau. However, the number of Chinese children emigrate to Macau is increasing sharply. In the past, the average rate of official Chinese immigrants to Macau was 50 per month. Within the last two years, it changed to around 50 per day. It means that more children with learning difficulties are to be admitted in schools. The concept of inclusive education is still new to educators in Macau and it is hard to integrate special needs children to normal private schools Those children brought up in China may be a threat to teachers as they have language, writing and social shock problems. The aim of this paper is to reveal the work done by school authorities in helping these "special needs" students. Recommendations are made borrowing the studies in Hong Kong to ease the burden of Macau teachers, The Education Department as well as Teacher Education Institutes should take a leading role in this issue.
