Abstract
Since 1994, with the approval of the Declaration of Salamanca, Portugal is trying to implement an inclusive educational system that would answer to the needs of all children. With this in mind the purpose of our presentation will be related to the state of the art of inclusion in Portugal. We will discuss current practices and legislation as well as statistical data.
