Every five years, the United Kingdom hosts a major international congress on special needs education.
ISEC 2000 is being organised by the School of Education at The University of Manchester, in association with the Manchester Metropolitan University, the City of Manchester and neighbouring authorities in Greater Manchester.
This congress is for presenters and participants from countries of the North and South, developed and developing, from all five continents of the globe. It is for consumers and family members, as well as teachers, teacher educators, researchers and other practitioners. The aim is to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences from around the world about progress towards the goals of Inclusive Education for all.
The congress will take place on the Fallowfield campus of The University of Manchester. A wide range of accessible residential accommodation (most of it en suite) is available, at a reasonable price, for all who need it on the university campus.
